Japanese jewellery maison Tasaki has announced the opening of its permanent counter at Selfridges’ Wonder Room in London.
This new permanent presence at Selfridges follows the success of Tasaki’s 70th Anniversary Floating Shell Exhibition pop-up, which was held at the department store from November 2024 to February 2025.
The Selfridges counter marks the brand’s second point of sale in the UK, following the opening of its first European flagship store on Bond Street, London, in March 2019.
The new location joins the maison’s network of over 100 global points of sale, the majority of which are based in Asia.
Tasaki will showcase the maison’s Akoya Pearl designs, featured across both high and fine jewellery collections including Balance, Danger and Chants along with creations from the maison’s Atelier High Jewellery collection, including the Cascade high jewellery parure, which features paraiba tourmaline set in white gold, and cascading waterfalls of Akoya Pearls all punctuated with diamonds.
The maison is the world’s principal producer of Akoya pearls and the only De Beers sight-holder in Japan.
Kimura-San, officer of head of EMEA and US and managing director of Tasaki UK and France, said: “We are delighted to establish a permanent presence at Selfridges with our Tasaki counter launch, following the strong reception to our pop-up last year. This marks a significant milestone in Tasaki’s journey in the UK, building on our New Bond Street debut in 2019 and further deepening our valued partnership with Selfridges.
“We are proud to share our heritage, signature craftsmanship, and bold yet refined designs with a wider audience in London – and to present the exceptional quality of our pearls and diamonds, which lie at the heart of Tasaki’s identity, in such a vibrant and international city.”
